Attention: Men of GRACE Fellowship – Share a testimony with a Stranger
Save the dates of Thursday, September 6 through Saturday, September 8 for the Men’s Retreat at Camp Patmos. Registration deadline is Friday, August 31. Eight GRACE men have attended each of the last 2 years. Please see one of us in the photos for testimony of why our men need to go. One brother shared he met believers from many parts of the world who now live here.
This camp is on Kelley’s Island, 920 Monaghan Rd, Kelleys Island, OH 43438 and offers a beautiful and serene setting for reflection, quiet time, prayer and fellowship. At the same time it provides plenty of opportunities for fun activities and serves very good food.
The "Island" Highland games return again this year to challenge our skill as men. Cut your cabers and start practicing your toss or start throwing your hammers to prepare. Events like the Caber Toss, Hammer Toss, Stone Toss, and the 60 yard sprint, along with the games we all know and love (softball, volleyball, basketball, sailing, watersports, horseshoes, corn-hole, carpet-ball and more) will be part of our time together.
There will be four chapel services which include the study of the Word with great singing and worship.
The retreat starts on Thursday evening (actually only requires Friday as a vacation day). The retreat schedule can be found on the Camp Patmos website, www.camppatmos.com.
GRACE has scholarship help available from the Stu Faulds Memorial Funds for anyone who needs financial help. See Pastor Craig or Elder Dick Linak for confidential requests. The cost is $115.00 for the retreat. In addition it costs $15.50 for your round trip ferry ride to and from Kelley’s Island. (A love offering is also taken during the retreat for our speaker.)
Please indicate your plans to attend by completing the sign-up sheet located in the church Atrium.
Please register for the retreat at www.camppatmos.com and specify the AndyJ1 or AndyJ2 cabin during registration. If you have requested financial scholarship help see Dick as he needs to enroll you.
